This Is Radio Comic-Con

Well, "Alien Diplomacy" is safely with DAW and we're heading to Radio Silence as I head off to Comic-Con. Unless you're following me on Twitter (@GiniKoch) and then you should hear from me a lot. I also plan to send photo updates to the Alien Collective Virtual HQ on a regular basis, so you can keep up with things there, too.

While the Fates have ensured that I won't see Nathan Fillion in the flesh this time around (his panel is at the same time as mine...coinkydink? I think not! I call it an evil conspiracy to keep us apart), I expect to see buckets of cool and come home with bags, scads, and cascades of swag. So, start salivating now, because the Comic-Con Swag Pack Giveaway, Year 2, will be starting once I'm home (early August). It's for Hook Me Up! subscribers only, so if you're not on, fix that situation now. Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line so you'll be all set when the winning starts!

So, to fill the time, and because it's relevant to Comic-Con, I leave you with this (somewhat not safe for work, the young, or the easily shocked) -- the new cover for DC's "Red Hood and the Outlaws #2". Is my goal to get answers about this from someone "in the know" at Comic-Con and discern whether this was intentional or if DC thinks we all have minds that live in the gutter? You betcha!

Love,
Gini

It's Agent Time

It's another short and sweet one today! Getting them all in before we go to Radio Silence while I'm at Comic-Con gathering the best swag ever for the most awesome swag packs ever. But I digress...

Well, I promised. And, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, I'm delivering. What's that, says you? More "Creation Agent" says I. Go to Expanded Universes and check out the next installment!

Remember that you can win a signed copy of "Touched by an Alien" or "Alien Tango" by hitting the RomCon Blog and leaving a comment on the "Alien in the Family" Sneak Peek.

Head over to Babbling Book Reviews to check out her faves for the first half of 2011.

Remember to let me know if you'll be at Comic-Con or in the San Diego area from July 19-26th; wouldn't want to miss any of the Alien Collective who are in the area!

For those of you keeping score, I'll be at CopperCon 31 over Labor Day Weekend, and World Fantasy Con at the end of October. More events to come as things finalize.

Last, but in no way least, remember to do your girl a solid and pre-order "Alien Proliferation". Yes, pre-orders matter. Especially if y'all want to see what comes after "Alien Diplomacy" and "Alien vs. Alien". ;-D

Until next time, be good, have fun, and let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

Monday Winning

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, I spent the time finalizing "Alien Diplomacy" and prepping for Comic-Con.

On today's docket, however, is a sneak peek from "Alien in the Family" up at the RomCon Blog. Whether you've read it already or haven't picked it up yet (and if not, why not?), leave a comment and get entered to win a signed copy of either "Touched by an Alien" or "Alien Tango" (and whether or not it says it, the contest is international).

Speaking of Comic-Con, all the schedules are up! My panel and signing are on Sunday.

Panel: Sunday, July 24, 12:00 – 1:00 Speculative Fiction: Space Odyssey, Alien Encounters and Future Worlds; Room 25ABC
Autographing in the Comic-Con Autograph Area: Sunday, July 24, 1;30-2:30 Speculative Fiction; AA8 (autograph area under the sails)

One of our Alien Collective Members in Very Good Standing, Mike Shields, will be showing his film at the CCI-IFF at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina July 22nd at 1140a. So if you're going, catch Mike's movie and my panel and/or signing!

I'm also trying to figure out how to set up a "come on over" meet and greet or two or three while I'm there. Most likely to be sent out via Twitter and/or the Alien Collective Virtual HQ, so if you're going to Comic-Con and haven't hit the Virtual HQ or don't follow me on Twitter yet (@GiniKoch), fix those oversights so you won't miss out.

And, of course, the reminder that I'll be doing my huge Comic-Con Swag Pack giveaway for Hook Me Up! subscribers only once I'm back. Contest will start in August, so if you're not on Hook Me Up! yet, now's the time. Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line and get ready to fight for your right to get the goodies!

That's it for today, but there's more coming this week, including what many of you have been patiently waiting for *coughmoreCreationAgentcough*. So until then, peace out, li'l gangstas!

Love,
Gini

I Ain't Ded

Happy Friday! As some of you know, this blast header is a line from one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. For those that don't, it still works. I know I haven't been around much, but what can I say? Finishing up books takes time, focus and concentration. However, I'm happy to report that the beta team and crit partner seem pleased with "Alien Diplomacy" and that should be heading off to DAW next week.

Of course, there's been lots going on that I haven't caught everyone up on because, well, been writing. But, let's rectify that, shall we?

First up, we have some new reviews. Check out what Blethering About Books and Swept Away Again have to say about "Touched by an Alien". Then check out what Pages of Forbidden Love had to say about "Alien in the Family".

Next, check out what Tempting Persephone is saying are her faves so far for 2011. Then see what That Bookish Girl is waiting on. See the covers Fiction Vixen is excited about. Head over to see what For the Love of Books listed for her last SINsational Saturday Series.

Then, color me SO flattered! Our own Alien Collective Member in Very Good Standing, Jessica Subject, has her first published work out. Check out "Celestial Seduction", and while you do, check out the dedication and thank yous over at Mark of the Stars.

Going to Comic-Con in San Diego? So am I! (As a professional! Again! :-D) Send me an email if you'll be there, so we can hook up. I'm trying to get a little "Let's meet here at this time" thing going, but the way the last few weeks have been, it's going to be hit or miss.

However, whether you're going to Comic-Con or not, what you don't want to miss is the huge Swag Pack giveaway that'll get rolling once I'm back. Those of you who were around last year know what I'm talking about. Those who weren't, well...you're in for the biggest, most amazing giveaway I do all year. Who knows what the hubs and I will come home with, but I guarantee, you're all gonna love and want it! As always it's for Hook Me Up! ONLY. If you're not on, now is truly the time. Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line so that you'll be all set to get your massive win on!

I'll also be at CopperCon 31 in Avondale, AZ (what we in the Phoenix Metro call East L.A.) over Labor Day Weekend. Want to go? Planning to go? Let me know!

That's it for this week, but there's more coming next week. So, have a fab weekend, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini
